Bjørn Grøtting

2022 – New business within underwater photogrammetry.

In 2016 Frank and I started SubC3D and developed a photogrammetry camera sensor for the aquaculture industry.

2014-2016 I worked with Subsea photogrammetry metrology in Bluepix, being one of the co-founders.

2004-2014 I worked with Subsea photogrammetry metrology as project leader. This time using photogrammetry with digital cameras and modern software, making the process much more accurate and efficient.

Started working for Bloms Oppmåling in 1986, mostly with dimensional control and land-surveying.

In 1990 I got training in CAMS, Computer Aided Measurement System, a photogrammetry assisted system for reverse engineering of industrial sites.

The first photogrammetric survey I did was in 1990 of the BAYAN A Platform, Malaysia, including full photogrammetric analysis after returning to Norway. Several photogrammetry projects were later done during the 1990’s using film-based cameras.

1996 to 1999 I took part in the DMRM (Digital Marine Resource Mapping) project in Indonesia. Mainly working with a helicopter borne Laser Bathymetric System, and Multibeam surveys.

In 2001 I worked with production of nautical paper charts and ENC’s for Norwegian Hydrographic Service (NHS) in Blom’s Production Center in Jakarta, Indonesia.
